To the people who USED to be my friend.
Don’t tell me that you wished things could be how they used to be because nothing can ever take us back to those naive days. Don’t talk to me as if we are still as close as we were because you turned your back on me when I was hurting. Don’t tell me that you want to know everything about my life right now because you disregarded everything I told you before. Don’t tell me about how sad or mad you are because I’ve been through worse. Don’t say that you miss me because if you really did, you would make an effort to talk to me more than once every few months. Don’t tell me you want to see me and you want me to visit you because if you really wanted to see me you would be the one to come. Don’t remind me about how happy we used to be because I’m happier now, without you by my side.
